Welcome to the West TN Directors Association Website!

We regret to report the passing of a true pioneer of TN EMS and TASA – Jimmy Studdard. More details and arrangements will be posted as they become available.

Message from the Director of the Office of TN EMS:

star of life with ribbon - studdard2“There is great sadness and heavy hearts today as Tennessee Emergency Medical Service and Tennessee Ambulance Service Association has lost a great leader and mentor. Mr. Jimmy Studdard, Director of Haywood County EMS has lost his battle with cancer. Jimmy was a founding member and leader of Tennessee Ambulance Service Association and had been the only EMS Director in Haywood County since it began in the early 1970’s.”

“Those who knew Jimmy know you never had to guess where he stood on an issue. He was a strong advocate for the patient. He believed in doing what was right for the good of the Patient and the system. The Office of EMS sends our condolence to his family and his extended EMS family. He will be missed by all who know and admired him.”
